*Have an experienced Registered Nurse attend your client’s medical examination. Our nurse observer will prep your client, attend the exam with your client, observe and document the exam, make an audio recording when permitted, and provide a comprehensive, clear report of what occurred.
RN Observer Services assists attorneys by providing objective, professional observation and documentation during Defense Medical Examinations (DMEs).
Our registered nurse observers attend examinations on behalf of retaining counsel and create an accurate record of the procedures, questions, testing, measurements, and interactions that occur. We also monitor whether the examination remains consistent with the attorney’s Response to Demand, applicable court orders, and relevant provisions of the Code of Civil Procedure.
Before the examination, we help prepare the client by explaining what to expect and reviewing appropriate examination conduct. Our nurse observer then travels to the examination location, attends the DME,
and audio records the proceedings when permitted.
After the examination, the attorney receives a detailed written report outlining the examination process and documenting significant observations, including:
Audio transcripts are also available upon request.
By providing clear, organized, and contemporaneous documentation, RN Observer Services helps attorneys evaluate what occurred during the DME, address potential disputes, prepare for litigation, and preserve testimony when a fact witness may be needed.
